Double!

Just moments ago, I finished preaching the last message on the final night of our Gospel Crusade here in Calabar, Nigeria. Each night here, we have seen the crowd literally double in size over the previous night. That is unusual, and a powerful indication of the wonderful things Jesus has done here this week.

We also had our new jumbo screens in full swing again this week. The difference it makes for the people is even more than we had imagined. During the preaching, every facial expression, illustration and movement is larger than life. During the testimonies, every miracle is seen up close, every tear shed, every smile of joy touches the hearts of the whole crowd. I want to thank those of you that contributed to these screens. I believe many more people will be reached with the gospel as a result. Thank you!

Tonight a 12-year old boy, mute from birth, spoke for the first time in his entire life. In front of the massive crowd, he repeated after me, “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.”

A painful lump disappeared from a young woman’s breast. Another lady who had suffered with unrelenting pain due to stomach ulcers, felt all the pain vanish during prayer for the first time in 3-years. She wept uncontrollably as she thanked God for the miracle.

Many other testimonies were heard as well, hernia, piles, bleeding, pain of all kinds healed, and many, many more.

In a couple weeks, we will be back in Nigeria and we are trusting God for another mighty harvest. Thank you for praying for us this week and thank you for supporting us. We are shoulder-to-shoulder in the harvest.

Yours in the Harvest,

Daniel Kolenda

Live From Calabar!
After two amazing days in Calabar, Nigeria, we are excited and expectant for God to continue to move in the lives of people in attendance! We hope you enjoy the Livestream made available to you today!

Jesus is Alive!

The crowd nearly doubled tonight! The word has gone out. Jesus is alive in Calabar, Nigeria!

Tens of thousands responded to the Gospel. Thousands said they’d received a healing (indicated by raised hands). We heard many testimonies of miraculous healing including a woman who suffered bleeding for 10-years due to cervical cancer, a young girl who had a painful ulcer, a young lady with a dislocated hip walking on crutches, a young man with a spinal injury for 17-years and many more. Praise the Lord!

Tomorrow the Fire Conference will come to a close as Peter Vandenberg and I minister and pray for the people to receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Please continue to pray for us, we really depend on it.

DON’T FORGET! TOMORROW morning (Saturday, February 17th) join us for the LIVESTREAM direct from Calabar, Nigeria  at 8:40 a.m. EST  (14:40 GMT).

Double Harvest Now!

We are back in Nigeria! This is the beginning of a new season of Gospel campaigns in Africa that I believe, will eclipse everything we have seen thus far in the harvest. I believe we are entering a “Decade of Double Harvest” that will culminate with more than 150-million souls coming into the Kingdom!

This week we are in Calabar – a city where Evangelist Bonnke last preached in 2004. Today there is a whole new generation eager to hear the Gospel. Our first meeting was already huge (have a look at the pictures). The people are hungry and open and many thousands responded to the Gospel.

After the prayer for salvation, miracles began to take place.

• A boy, deaf in his right ear for more than 15-years said that, during the prayer, he felt something come out of his ear and he was totally healed. As I tested him on the platform, he was overwhelmed with gratitude and collapsed on the ground, weeping and thanking Jesus for the mighty miracle.

• Two elderly ladies, both of whom had suffered with limited range of motion in their shoulder for years were healed.

• A woman testified that she had glaucoma. She had been going to the doctors for years but without a cure. Tonight, Jesus completely healed her eyes.

• Another young woman brought pictures and a report from her doctor showing a severe infection in her abdomen that had caused her constant pain for the last 10-years. Tonight, Jesus totally healed her.

• Many other wonderful miracles took place as well, including ulcers, lumps and mysterious sickness instantly vanishing. Even a paralyzed woman rose up totally healed tonight!

Thank you for praying for us and for Calabar. The best is yet to come.

Also, please don’t miss our LIVESTREAM on Saturday, February 17, 2018, which you will find on this same page.  We will tell you the start time in tomorrow’s email, so be on the lookout.

Yours in the Gospel,

Evangelist Daniel Kolenda

Calabar, Nigeria

Calabar

Calabar — a name that evokes all that is mysterious in Africa. From steaming equatorial forests to fast-flowing navigable rivers, the whole of the continent seems to be summed up in this one name. And yet, it is a word that once was feared by all. To the indigenous population, Calabar was often the last place they ever saw of their homeland, as they were shipped away from family and friends onboard the many slave ships that called at that port. To the crews of those ships, Calabar and its environs were infamous as ‘The White Man’s Grave’ on account of the terrible diseases that ravaged them when they were in that part of the world. Today, no slave ships call at the port of Calabar and sickness and disease can be controlled with modern medicines, but there is still oppression and bondage to sin that needs the saving touch of the great Savior of mankind.

Calabar is the capital of the Cross River State and is located on the east coast of Nigeria. Also referred to as “Canaan City,” Calabar is a major commercial center in Nigeria and has has served as an international sea port since the 16th century.

People

During the 20th century a large part of the Efik population moved from the towns and settled in farming villages in the forest. The staple foods are yams and cassava, supplemented by taro, corn (maize), fruits and vegetables, and fish. The Efik language is widely spoken in the southern part of Cross River State, especially in Calabar Municipality, Calabar South and Odukpani.

Climate

The average temperatures in Calabar in February are a high of 32 °C (90 °F) and a low of 23 °C (73 °F). Calabar has a tropical monsoon climate, with a rainy season lasting 10 month.

Economy

Exports include palm produce, timber (mostly obeche), rubber, cocoa, copra, and piassava fibre. The town has a sawmill; rubber, food, and oil-palm-processing plants; a cement factory; and a boatbuilding industry. Wood carving is a traditional art of the Efik, and the town’s artisans sculpt ebony artifacts for the tourist market in Lagos.
